Upcycling Vintage Furniture
Refinishing vintage furniture is more than just a new trend here at The Pheasant Plucker's Wife. We've been championing upcycled furniture in the UK for a number of years and we've transformed numerous well-built but dated pieces into stunning show stoppers. We use quality materials with low VOC paints such as Fusion Mineral Paint and Little Greene and we specialise in decoupage using designer wallpapers.
Decoupage is the art of sticking paper onto another surface, in our case wallpaper onto furniture. There's a knack to it of course and we are proud to say that our decoupaged upcycled furniture has attracted the attention of the media and even designer Matthew Williamson. The choice of amazing wallpapers is endless and we're happy to give our suggestions for the perfect match to any piece of furniture. We love using William Morris and Cole & Sons but there are literally thousands of amazing designs to choose from.
Decoupage or Painted?
Have a look through our recent projects to see what's possible with an old chest of drawers or bureau. You may have your own piece of vintage furniture you'd like us to transform, or you might see potential in one of our naked pieces. Many of our customers already have something that they like the size and shape of, but it just doesn't 'go' any more with their decor.
If your room is crying out for some pattern but you're not brave enough to wallpaper the room, decoupaged furniture might be the answer. We can source and create a show stopping centrepiece for your room using fabulous designer wallpapers.
Decoupage Waste Paper Bins
As you can imagine, we get a fair amount of leftover paper from our decoupage furniture projects. We hate to see it go to waste so we've made some gorgeous waste paper bins from the remnants! Very popular as a house warming gift or treat to yourself! Designs change all the time depending on our projects so check out the current selection here!
